Schedule of the Day

  • 8:45 – 9:00: Pick up Activity Schedule - Foyer
  • 9:00 – 9:30: Prayer & Opening - Gymnasium
  • 9:35 – 10:35: Activity Session 1
  • 10:40 – 11:40: Activity Session 2
  • 11:45 – 12:15: Lunch in the Cafeteria
  • 12:20 – 1:00: Closing Comments & Performance by Mercy’s “Choralations” Show Choir

Student Activities

  • Cheerleading Clinic - Learn cheers and find out about high school cheerleading from the Mercy girls who cheer for the Xavier football and basketball teams and the Mercy basketball team. Please wear sneakers.
  • Chemistry of Tie-dyeing - Begin with basic instruction in tie-dyeing and then create your own design on a t-shirt. You will take home your custom made t-shirt.
  • Design your own Fashion Accessory - Demonstrate your fashion savvy and learn design techniques as you create beautiful accessories.
  • Field Hockey Clinic - Learn the basics of this fast-paced sport. Equipment will be provided. Please wear sneakers. Will play outside, weather permitting, to be confirmed via email on March 14th.
  • "Goods of Conscious" - Make your own teddy bear and learn how small manufacturing operations, using local talent and eco-friendly methods, can help to bridge budget gaps and provide many spiritual benefits to those in need.
  • Mercy Dance Team - Join the members of Mercy’s Dance Team and learn the latest hip hop and reggae moves.
  • Mini Mock Trial - Serve as jurors on a case and discover how members of Mercy’s Mock Trial Team prepare for a case.
  • Robotics - Meet the robots created by Mercy’s “TechTigers” Robotics Team. Visit the Robotics Lab to see what she can do and learn how physics is fun when you apply simple principles.

During the time your daughter is enjoying Discover Mercy Day, you are invited to visit us as well! You will have the opportunity to participate in your choice of two of the following sessions:

  • Admissions Process & Questions for the Administration, Guidance Department Personnel, & Faculty
  • Health & Personal Concerns for your Teenage Daughter
  • Parent-to-Parent – Current Parents Answer your Questions
  • School Tour – Join Mercy Students on a Guided Tour of Campus

Pre-registration for parental sessions is not necessary. We look forward to meeting you!
