Jasmine Mendez '23 Earns DAR Good Citizen Award
On March 29, senior Jasmine Mendez was honored with a Good Citizen Award by the Wadsworth Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the Amercian Revolution (DAR).
The DAR Good Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest, created in 1934, is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship.
This award recognizes and rewards high school seniors who possess the qualities ofdependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students are selected by their teachers and peers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree.
It is easy to understand how Jasmine was chosen for this award. She is an Advanced Placement and honors student. Jasmine She is vice-president of Tri-M Music National Honor Society, a member of Mercy Ambassadors, and a four-year member of both the varsity basketball and volleyball teams, serving as captain for volleyball. She has been elected to the Executive Board for three years, and she currently serves as Student Council President. Congratulations, Jasmine, we are #mercyproud of you!
