Mercy Juniors Receive Class Rings

Mercy Juniors Kelly Murphy, Elizabeth Konefal and Meghan Garrity celebrate receiving their class rings.

The members of Mercy High School’s class of 2012 celebrated their new status as “upperclasswomen” when they received their class rings on October 21, 2010.  At a special liturgy celebrated by the Most Rev. Michael Cote, Bishop of Norwich, 173 juniors, together with their family members and friends, marked the occasion.  Bishop Cote congratulated the students on their accomplishments in reaching this milestone, and wished them continued success during the next two years as “women of Mercy.”

The juniors were presented with their rings, tied to yellow roses, by members of the school administration.  A reception followed.  The celebration continued at the traditional Junior Ring Dance, held at Mercy High School the following week.
